2021 Ford Transit 148″

Rocky decided on a custom build for his 148″ Transit for him and his family to travel the country in. The theme for the build was to model a “rustic cabin”, so we had to stick with clear coated knotty pine for everything! Beneath the walls lies 3-4″ of wool insulation, and 2″ in the ceiling- that’s a higher R value than some homes! A Webasto Evo40 heater located under the kitchen counter cranks out a toasty 13,650 BTU of warm air. Rocky plans on frequently traveling to Montana, so he’s going to need all the heat and insulation that he can get.

One feature that makes this van unique from most of our builds is the fold down bench seat that stows neatly against the wall when not in use. This is a great alternative to a fixed bench seat if you plan on traveling with passengers. Rear of the bench is a simple kitchen with an induction cooktop, stainless sink and ample storage while on the road. More details listed below.
